We are an ecological landscape & materials design studio centered around Mid-Atlantic native plants & landscapes. We create gardens humans love — that also help our more-than-human kin that share the earth with us.
Southeast Virginia is not located in a bland “anyplace”. Most of us live here because we love the waterways, herons, days spent at the beach, live oaks’ outstretched arms. 70|30 Design Studio’s philosophy is to find ways to bring elements of the natural environment you love closer to you via artfully designed outdoor spaces.
We find ways to bring out the character of a place while offering creative solutions to some of the less-than-great aspects of our locale, like nuisance flooding. We work with both residential and commercial properties big and small.
